Abstract :
In this paper a new architecture for uninterruptible distribution systems is presented. The single AC-no-break system is operated at medium voltage and uses a double-looped configuration made of two redundant underground cables. The system is three-phase with neutral ungrounded. An example of application concerning a satellite telecommunication center is reported. ATP simulation results of some significant transients are also shown. In the numerical simulations carried out, original models of different unconventional components have been used.
