Abstract :
This paper presents technical issues on use and analysis of one kind of 3D geological modeling software named GOCAD. As the conventional geological information is not sufficient to meet the requirements of the current engineering construction, 3D geological modeling needs to be constructed. Otherwise, the key techniques are quite important to 3D modeling in engineering construction formation when using GOCAD. Two approaches are introduced in this paper to promote the current modeling methods. One approach is combining Kriging interpolation with Discrete Smooth Interpolation to generate preferable sub-surface, another one is using GRID function instead of SOLID function to promote the efficacy. Finally, a construction site in Beijing city is taken as an example. The above mentioned two approaches are put into use in GOCAD software. The results indicate that they are effective.
