Multicultural education has huge potential to help in the fight against racism, and to enable people to become active members of a democratic global society. It helps diverse students to gain the knowledge, develop the attitudes, and acquire the skills they need to take part in today´s multicultural society. Based on many advanced, interactive, and interoperability features, Web 2.0 tools could be an appropriate media for users to build many virtual collaborative societies for free. Participants from different corners of the world are able to participate in virtual communities simultaneously to practice effective multiculturalism. This paper covers the feasibility of using Web 2.0 technologies in the teaching and learning of multiculturalism, and presents a conceptual framework for its effective implementation.
