  • Abstract
In this paper, a Mont Carlo model is employed to account the possibility of a transmitted ultraviolet (UV) photon experiencing single scattering. Then we get the path loss of this process by simulating many photons base on probabilistic rules. The representative simulation results of UV non-line-of-sight (NLOS) communication are analyzed. The results show that NLOS (b) has a large coverage with a certain directional and the coverage of NLOS (c) is larger and has a stronger directional. The correctness of the model is verified by the theoretic formula. In particular, we test the effects of transmitter angle, receiver angle and communication range. The results provide more accurate coverage model for NLOS UV communication network.
