Abstract :
A software implementation of a modified version of the pre-standard HSR redundancy protocol was implemented on a NIOS II soft-core running under eCOS in conjunction with a PROFINET RT stack. The modifications allowed the achievement of true multi-topology performance. This paper describes elements of the current HSR draft, the author´s modifications and the resulting implementation.
