Abstract :
Microalgal oil is proposed as an alternative renewable source of energy. The most inexpensive production of this oil would be from waste-grown microalgae. It is important to note, however, that there does not exist any viable method for the extraction of this oil. This study is the first of a four-part study on oil from microalgae in which the oil-extraction methods are identified, developed, and experimentally explored
