Abstract :
Summary form of only given: The evolution of wireless technology towards 4G and beyond opens tremendous opportunities for new mobile broadband services. These bandwidth-hungry services, however, will pose tough requirements on mobile infrastructures as well. Backhaul transmission is one example where new solutions are required to meet the capacity challenges. This presentation will start from a market projection on LTE and LTE-Advanced and then review the mobile backhaul challenges and the solutions to them. In particular, E-band radios will be discussed in detail as one future-proof solution to meet the capacity challenge. To conclude the presentation, some general requirements of system blocks will be commented briefly from system perspective.
