Abstract :
Simulations for time and energy-optimal control of electric railcars used in urban transportation are described. The aim for this project is to keep a given time-table as exact as possible and on the other hand to save energy costs. The plant is described by a simple mathematical model. The parameters of this model can be given by the user or can be determined automatically by a recursive least-squares estimation algorithm
