Abstract
The effect of redundancy on logistic parameters is investigated through sample calculations. The logistic parameters investigated are mean down time (MDT), mean logistic delay time (MLDT), mean time to repair (MTTR), mean time between demands (MTBD), operation availability, equipment cost, and equipment weight. The effect of redundancy on the last three is as expected: MTBD decreases, equipment cost increases, and equipment weight increases. Detailed calculations are required to determine the effect of redundancy on the other logistic parameters
