Abstract
The research presented involved reviewing the style of cooperative interaction and the supporting human-computer interface capabilities of several intelligent NASA fault management systems. A description is presented of some of the common trends observed, the recurring obstacles that block effective communication, and the new capabilities that will be needed for AI systems to become team players
