Abstract :
The spaceborne precipitation radar (PR) works in millimeter wave band, its wave does not satisfy the Rayleigh scattering condition when propagating in cloud consisting of the ellipsoid raindrops. In this paper, we calculate the equivalent radar reflectivity factor of the big ellipsoid raindrops and also give the corresponding radar reflectivity factor correction coefficient in meteorological radar equation.
