Abstract :
EcoDesign can contribute significantly to achieve a more sustainable society. In order to be effective it needs to be integrated into current business processes. The present paper describes how the Consumer Electronics division of Royal Philips Electronics has tackled this issue up to now. Further jumps in sustainability (factors) require not only industrial transformation but also societal transformation. This calls for organisation strategic projects addressing environmental validation, technologies enabling “green” and closing materials loops. On basis of these projects the stakeholders´ discussions can be intensified and brought to a higher level
