Abstract
Healthcare delivery throughout the United States occurs at varying standards of quality. One segment of the community that continues to suffer from issues pertaining to poor access and low quality is the Native American population. In today´s technology driven information age such a situation is no longer tenable. In this paper, we discuss the role of a pervasive technology solution in order to alleviate this untenable situation. In so doing, we give the example of DiaMonD, a wireless diabetes monitoring solution that offers a superior yet relatively inexpensive healthcare outcome to Native American diabetic patients.
