Abstract :
The synthetic transmission is the vital device of a heavy vehicle´s chassis, and its structure is complex too. It is difficult to practice maintenance on actual equipment. To resolve the problem of maintenance training, a desktop virtual maintenance system of the device is developed in this paper. The system is designed according to the maintenance procedure regulated in the maintenance manual. It provides trainees maintenance document such as illustrations, and simulates the disassembly procedure. Trainees practice maintenance operation on an interactive interface, in mode of demonstration, learning or exam.
