Abstract :
Based on a quadrate-ring structure, a crossing-net metamaterial structure is proposed, analyzed and the frequency characteristics of the structure are simulated. The simulation results indicate that the new structure has negative permeability in an 11 GHz bandwidth at x direction and its negative permeability bandwidth comes to 16 GHz at z direction, within this frequency band, the permittivity is also negative, this achieves a broader negative-index bandwidth; due to the asymmetry of the new structure, both the permittivity and permeability have anisotropic properties.
