  • Abstract
With the expansion of telecommunications services and technologies, it is apparent that integrated plans have become a necessity for identifying the details of provisioning, installing, and maintaining each new and existing service. It seems appropriate to accompany these integrated plans with a detailed flowchart depicting the processes involved. A functional flowchart represents the incorporation of all activities within and between each department that supports a particular service. The authors outline the methodology for implementing a functional flowchart, the need for such a vehicle, and the potential benefits to be derived from its use.<>
