Abstract :
This paper adopts a deterministic approach to propose a modified elementary signal estimator (ESE) for chip by chip iterative multi-user detection (MUD) in IDMA systems. We first outline the basic principles of IDMA and then proceed to provide the details of the detection algorithm. The technique is remarkably simple and involves fewer iterations as compared to the elementary signal estimatorpsilas detection algorithm.
