Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. After a few days´ orientation, Shakespeare and Anne Hathaway, who have been brought back to life by means of a bio-algorithmic computer program developed at Oxbridge University, are introduced to Don, an English professor, and Sophie, a computer engineer, who have been instructed to show them a word processor. During the demonstration, Shakespeare´s amusement turns to amazement, and he is persuaded to try his hand at the keyboard. Then he is shown the index-and-retrieval feature and is fascinated with the machine´s answers to esoteric questions about his plays. The demonstration moves on to some of the essentials of expert systems and artificial intelligence, and the poet is astounded. Prompted by some words of encouragement from his wife, he responds with a sonnet inspired by what he has seen.<>
