Abstract
The measurement of volume water content in stem based on dielectric constant has been utilizing widely. A study based on SWR (standing wave ratio) technique was presented in this paper. The sensor probe plays an important role in determination of stem water content with a variety of instruments. Therefore, it is critical to study the length of the probe in order to improve the measuring accuracy of the instrument. Different organic liquids were chosen as the testing media to simulate the water stem. With the length of the probe the object is to measure the change of the output voltage UAB. The experimental results confirmed that the output voltage UAB is changed with the length of the probe. In addition, the data from the correlation demonstrated that the length of 50 mm is the best.
