Abstract :
In recent years the C++ class library C-XSC (library for eXtended Scientific Computing) has been supplemented by several additional software packages. Most recently, a package allowing arbitrary precision interval computations has been added. In this note we present the most important features of C-XSC and its supplements. The tools allow very powerful self-validating numerical computations in all domains of engineering. Exemplarily we present some verified computations concerning the logistic equation, an often used, most simple, but nontrivial dynamical system. C-XSC establishes safety in numerical calculations, e.g. in solving linear or nonlinear equations. It also allows to handle uncertainties (errors in measurements, rounding errors, ...) in a guaranteed way. The software tools described in this note are all publicly available. Their source codes can be downloaded from our website http:// www2.math.uni-wuppertal.de/wrswt/xsc/cxsc_new.html.
