Abstract
The author suggests that, in the technical communication classroom, the large number of writing and speaking assignments leads to a great many moments of truth. These experiences often tend to be negative ones for students. It is concluded that, just as business and industry use moments of truth to create good will, educators must also make them positive encounters and build on them to motivate students.<>
