Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. This paper presents an interferometric real-beam scanning FMCW imaging radar. As opposed to an interferometric SAR system that requires traditionally lengthy capture and post-processing times, the proposed system is a real-time imaging system that generates a real-beam image at 10 Hz rate. The interferometric technique is proposed as a means to enhance the raw 2D-based image result by providing target height estimation from phase difference measurements, paving a foundation for a 3D volumetric sensor.
