Abstract :
The application and performance of a blind adaptive algorithm in a DS-CDMA communication system is considered. The proposed blind algorithm is a stochastic gradient-based algorithm derived from the standard least mean square (LMS) adaptation algorithm. The algorithm is blind in the sense that information of other users such as the timing, channel information and not required. We demonstrate the convergence of the blind algorithm in the mean square error (MSE) sense and derive its steady state MSE. The bit error rate (BER) and MSE performance of the proposed blind algorithm in an asynchronous system are presented
