Abstract :
DAC (design for assembly/disassembly cost-effectiveness) is an assembly/disassembly evaluation and design method developed by Sony. It is a life cycle design tool that allows pinpointing of the complex common and disparate features of assembly and disassembly during product development. This helps achieve cost-effective, easy-to-assemble designs as well as designs enabling easier disassembly, recycling and product servicing
