Abstract :
The convergence of control parameters in a well-known model reference adaptive controller is explored via computer simulation. It is found that, despite persistent excitation of the reference input, the parameter vector does not always converge to the ideal value. This can negatively affect robustness of these controllers to unmodeled dynamics
