Abstract :
Steam turbines for power generation or mechanical drive, operating on geofluid or waste heat of different steam conditions using the flashing principle, are discussed. The current status of waste heat recovery in China is described. The energy available factor in China is only up to 30-35%, so there is plenty of industrial waste heat that remains yet to be recovered, much of it under 130°C. Geological surveys have shown that the Tibetan plateau has great geothermal potential, which could provide a market for geothermal steam turbines
