Wastewater treatment plant in a milk processing factory

This paper details a case study application of process model for a wastewater treatment plant in Napolact milk factory, Cluj-Napoca. In the first section the plant layout is presented in details. Then the process model and the simulation layout are described. The base for the model was used Benchmark Simulation Model no. 1 (BSM1), but most modification and adjustments was also operated for adapt the simulation platform to current modeling application. Next the presented benchmark is used for process simulations and the results are pointed out. Finally, the most important conclusions are emphasized.
