Abstract :
A coplanar waveguide (CPW) fed anti-interference ultra wideband (UWB) antenna is proposed numerically in this paper. The proposed UWB antenna has an anti-interference characteristic which is produced by using stepped impedance stub (SIS) loaded pentagon resonator (PR). The anti-interference function can reduce the potential interference between UWB systems and WLAN systems. The bandwidth of the proposed antenna was enhanced by using two L-shaped slots etched in the ground plane. The antenna was designed and analyzed successfully by using HFSS. The simulation results show that the proposed antenna with compact size of 32×24mm2, has an impedance bandwidth range from 2.72GHz to 11.12GHz for voltage standing-wave ratio (VSWR) less than 2, except the anti-interference band 4.26GHz-6.08GHz for HIPERLAN/2, IEEE 802.11a (5.1GHz - 5.9GHz) and C-band satellite and military applications.
