Abstract :
A multi-sine DSP-based network analyzer is presented. The system is based on the Motorola DSP56002EVM evaluation board and it gives the ability to measure the frequency response of linear time-invariant systems. The development of the system includes the implementation of a steep descent algorithm for the generation of a low peak factor multi-sine driving signal. The DSP board reads back the system´s response at different frequencies and evaluates magnitude and phase data for plotting and analysis purposes. Future applications include analysis, verification and system identification projects.
