Abstract
In order to evaluate the reliability of woodceramics when applied to snow heaters, the effect of an epoxy resin coating on the electric resistance and environment-proofing characteristics has been experimentally investigated by the use of heat-cycle tests and high temperature-exposure tests. It is found that in order to obtain a reliable coating on woodceramics, one must use a resin having both small coefficient of thermal expansion and high glass transition temperature, together with sufficient time for curing
