  • Abstract
    We report the performance of the 10-wavelength DFB laser array with small wavelength dependence of output power, extinction ratio, frequency response and chirp parameter. The active layer consists of six strain compensated quantum wells grown on top of the modulator waveguide layer. Over a wavelength span of 15 nm, the average power into a single mode fiber varies from -3 to 0 dBm (@80 mA), with better than -12 dB (@2 V) extinction ratio, a bandwidth of 5 GHz and chirp parameter less than 1
