Abstract
A new method for statistical assessment of the system harmonic impedance and of the background voltage distortion is presented. The method is based on a statistical interpretation of the results of measurement monitoring campaigns fully compatible with IEC Standards and it is the evolution of a method previously presented by the same authors. In the paper, after some remarks about the problem statement and the available measurement methods, the proposed approach is presented. Firstly some results of numerical experiments are shown and, then, the results of a measuring campaign are reported
