Abstract :
The impact of dispersed generation and of voltage regulation must be accounted for in distribution system reliability assessment. The paper tackles this issue. A wind farm analytical reliability model based on the state reduction technique is included into distribution system reliability assessment. The impact of voltage regulation is analysed and also included. The numerical results referred to a basic case with ring topology are presented to evidence the potential benefits on distribution system reliability introduced by wind farms and voltage regulation
