Abstract
The paper explains the operation of case-based reasoning (CBR) and explores its application to power system control. A description of CBR systems is provided and the advantages of using this type of system for system control is discussed. The application of case-based reasoning to the control of power systems during emergency conditions is discussed. The IEEE 57 bus system is used as the power system under consideration for control
