Abstract :
A sequence inverse keyed (SIK) code-division multiple-access (CDMA) system is proposed for an indoor wireless infrared channel. The proposed system employs an m-sequence as a signature sequence. On-off keying (OOK) is used as a modulation scheme. The bit error rate of the proposed system is evaluated by analysis and computer simulation. It is shown that the SIK OOK-CDMA system is more robust against multi-user interference than the OOK-CDMA system with an optical orthogonal code (OOC) in an indoor environment and the former has lower complexity than the latter due to zero-valued threshold detector in the receiver
