Abstract
Mobile access to information services is set to explode in the next few years due to network, terminal and service improvements. Terminals will have increased processing power, memory and new functionality such as cameras or audio players. Network bandwidths will increase allowing faster transmission of data to mobile devices. Mobile application development environments are evolving to meet demand. Mobile portals provide users with services personalised to individuals´ tastes and access mechanisms, and are an important key to customer attraction and retention
