Abstract :
Patient monitoring using wireless technologies has been considered for improving the quality of healthcare to an increased number of patients, including those suffering from physical and cognitive disabilities. For such patients, there is a need to design a comprehensive wireless patient monitoring system. In this paper, we propose a management framework for comprehensive patient monitoring that utilizes reliability of network architectures, context-awareness in vital-signs, and traffic management. This framework is applicable for a variety of patients who will require autonomous and context-aware operation of reliable patient monitoring networks
