Abstract
We have developed a set of generic on-line assessing tools that allow students to exercise and evaluate their previous knowledge, before they submit their admission to engineering majors. The tools are generic and flexible, and may be applied to different disciplines such as math, physics and computing, and may be used in a Web environment. We present and discuss the software tool itself, as well as preliminary results obtained with engineering students taking physics courses.
