Abstract
In this paper, the design scheme and system implementation of a compact, low-cost, energy-efficient, real-time, software-defined acoustic (SDA) modem for underwater sensor network are described. The hardware and software performance of the SDA modem are presented by the underwater experiment results of different underwater communication and networking method using the same modem.
