Abstract :
With respect to new power device "Variable Capacitance Device," its current distortion is discussed. This device utilizes nonlinear characteristics for varying the capacitance. However, the capacitor current has a low value of THD (Total Harmonic Distortion). And then, an example of its application to ac power supply is introduced.
