  • Abstract
    We present new architectures and methods that could be used in order to enable video cassette recorder (VCR) functionalities in digital streaming media. Our methods are extended for both scalable and nonscalable media, and could potentially considerably enhance the user´s experience while at the same time reduce the decoding complexity and the network bandwidth required for these applications.
