Abstract :
This paper describes the current state of fuel cell technology and potential for telecom applications. Fuel cell systems enable long autonomous power supply for uninterrupted operation of telecom installations. Depending on power and required uptime, hydrogen or a hydrogen containing fuel can be used as primary energy carrier.
