Abstract :
In this paper, the feature parameters of fault phase selector are extracted. From perspective of fuzzy pattern recognition, subjection functions and fuzzy rules for identifying fault type and selecting phase of fault are developed. And new algorithm of speedy comprehensive fault phase selection based on stratified fuzzy reasoning is presented. ATP Simulation indicates that the new approach can select fault phase correctly, and its performance can also endure the influences of various factors, including fault distances, fault types, inception angles and fault path resistance. Due to its high reliable, the new algorithm is employed to the traveling-wave protection or transient-based protection.
