Abstract :
Most of the existing vehicle networks use PKI technology to issue the certificate and key for the user, but with a sharp increasing, there will be higher computational overhead and transmission overhead in the communication by using PKI. It would seriously hamper the development of vehicle networks. Therefore, this paper proposes a combined public key(CPK)-based privacy enhanced key exchange scheme through which public key is closely bound to the identity of the vehicle in vehicular mesh network. When the nodes belong to different clusters, the scheme provides the mutual authentication between mesh client and mesh router to make network securer. Compared to the existing scheme, the scheme could withstand the modification attack and the man in-the-middle attack.
