Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. We present the design of an antenna for the 2.4-to-2.5 GHz band using a dielectric resonator installed on a printed circuit board. One of the objectives is reduction of the noise emitted by the antenna into the printed board. Here, it is realized with through vias connecting the upper and lower grounds of the board and making a substrate integrated resonator cavity underneath the DRA. Design requirements are achieved by simulation-driven design optimization exploiting surrogate models.
