Abstract :
A new transceiver design for digital microwave radios is presented, which reduces overall hardware complexity regarding parts and cost. Taking advantage of the digital software controllable commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) devices for power control on the receive (Rx) and transmit (Tx) paths, the proposed transceiver system architecture and performance are compared with current Harris transceiver designs
