Abstract
We propose a new adaptive error control scheme. The scheme consists of two parts: hybrid adaptive unequal error protection (HAUEP) and dynamic packet length adjustment module. HAUEP can correct errors in short time with controllable redundancy. Dynamic packet length adjustment module chooses the optimal packet size to maximize the channel throughput. Simulation results indicate that the scheme performs well even when the channel condition is rapidly varying.
