Abstract :
In this paper, UWB-SAR is used to highway technology. A 2-D FDTD model is used to simulate the behavior of such wide-band radar system. According to the numerical results, the depth of the asphalt above the cement can be decided. And the optimal distance of the transmitter/receiver unit has also been discussed. Thus, through analyzing the data returning to the receiver, we may ensure the highway surface to be even.
