Abstract :
With more and more Voltage Source Converter based HVDC (VSC-HVDC) projects including in power grid, it is of practical significance to develop a simplified and pertinent model of the VSC-HVDC for the electromechanical dynamic simulation. By proposing an equivalent voltage controlled source and full consideration of the control blocks, a quasi steady state model of the VSC-HVDC is proposed in the present paper. Simulation results show that it is available to apply the quasi-steady-state VSC-HVDC dynamic model in transient stability analysis of practical large-scale AC/DC power system.
