Abstract
The echo signal of fast-moving target is established. In conventional reconstruction algorithm, the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) is used to accomplished range compression. However for the fast-moving target, range dispersion will occur in the DFT range compression, deriving from the high-speed radial motion. It will distort the range profile and defocus the ISAR image. A new reconstruction algorithm is proposed, which use Fractional Fourier Transform (FRFT) instead of DFT to implement the range compression. The analysis indicates that the new algorithm can avoid the range dispersion and achieve refocused ISAR image effectively. The simulation results show the good performance of the new algorithm.
